MASTERCLASS x DEADMAU5 REVEAL NEW ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCTION COURSE

Deadmau5 [Joel Zimmerman] teamed up with Masterclass to release an exclusive music production class on his own secret tips and tricks for mastering experimental Electronic Dance Music in the studio.

The cost for the Deadmau5-inspired production class package is $90 total and includes lifetime access, 5+ hours of classes, and 20+ lessons on Ableton, all pre-recorded on video.

Deadmau5 x Masterclass recently released this trailer introducing their new masterclass.

“I can teach someone how to get

from nothing to something.” – Deadmau5

The team here at The DJ’s Tribune are taking an in-depth look at the class for ‘key features’ useful to both up and comers, as well as veteran producers. Even if you don’t know a lick about music production, or just want a refresher on some key features for creating your next “banger” — this may be the class for you.

As you saw in the Masterclass trailer video, Ableton will be the featured DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software for these classes. Deadmau5 will also be working with plugins like Serum and hopfully Massive.

If you’re not satisfied with the Deadmau5 Masterclass program after 30-days, you may contact their support team for a full refund.

BILLBOARD TOP 15 ‘ARTISTS TO WATCH’ RECAP AND 2016 MOST DEVELOPED DJ OF THE YEAR

The DJ’s Tribune found an old article that was worth another look; ‘Billboards Top 15 Artists to Watch’, which was released at the beginning of 2016.  Let’s take a deep listen to some of their predictions.

Today, we examine how these artists sit now that we’re well into fall and approaching 2017. The multitude of blogs, streaming services, and music platforms makes it difficult for record labels and fans to spot some of these rising stars in the Electronic Dance Music industry.

Artists like KSHMR continue to “break the internet”, while labels find it hard to stick with their email submissions and instead, go on the offense to sign the right candidates by scowwering music platforms.

Billboard‘s January article featured a slew of DJ’s and artists from across all parts of the world. We decided to condense their list into the one(s) who have developed the most with their careers this year. Our fall 2016 ‘Artist to Watch’ is . . . .

AVICII ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FROM TOURING

The Ministry of Sound has prepared an article on the Swedish House DJ/Producer, Avicii, who has made it public that he will be stepping down from touring for health reasons.

As we know, Avicii was a huge catalyst in the growth of EDM and it’s popularity.

With top charting tracks like, ‘Levels’, ‘Seek Bromance’, and ‘Lay Me Down’, his production trumps most DJ’s we see in todays scene.

Our thoughts are with Tim Bergling and his family. We hope someday we can see him back on stage as a guest artist or co-producer. Until then, get well my friend. Read part of his announce,

“Hello world,

Thank you for letting me fullfil so many of my dreams. I will be forever grateful to have experienced and accomplished all that I have with the help of the team around me and my beloved fans. Thank you to all my peers in the business for building a new movement that took the world by storm and I was lucky enough to be in the middle of it. Thank you to all my partners through the years who believed in what I have created and wanted to amplify my work to a truly global presence…” – Avicii

You can view the full thank you letter to the EDM industry, community, managers, agencies, and fans via The Ministry of Sound.
